Gone into redecorating

Redecoration

What happened? Where have I been? And most importantly, where are my comments on "big four" fashion weeks?
Well, the reason I haven't been commenting NYFW and LFW is becaause I'd been to hospital and when I came back I had promised to comment MFW and PFW.
Yes, sorry about that. Wondering why? The answer is nowhere else but in my room. It is totally redecorated and to repay to all of you who have been waiting for my comments, I will post some photos.
Very vintage and original, just the way I like.

Entrance to "Mon Petit Royaume" (my little kingdom)
So this is my handmade poster with an significant inscripture placed on my doors.

Closet, the most important piece of furniture a fashion lover owns, cost me the most of my time. Nevertheless, I don't mind because it really looks gorgeous as I see it!
This is how I decorated the door of the closet. One part is dedicated to great Marylin Monroe, I put LBD in honour to Chanel, there are Dior jewels too and haute couture poster.

They say not to judge book by the cover, but even if you did judge my closet by the cover I wouldn't mind. However, the inside is much better, and I'm not talking about the clothes. Ready?

Strike a pose VOGUE!

Aaand here comes the clothes!

Before and after situation... I have to tell you, it really feels good!

Colours, cuts, prints... Uhh I just love it!!

That's not all, of course, here are some other creative stuff! I DIY some of them and I have to tell you, I'm like really satisfied with the way it turned out, which is extremly rare in case of a perfectionist like me. My main inspiration were vintage movies, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Casablanca, Some like it hot and so on. What can I say, I'm really into it!

Bon appetit from Tiffany's!

Could not help, felt in love in it, bought it right away!

My memory box filled with checks, tickets and stuff like that

Hope you liked it!

Unfortunate fashion hideaway

Hello over there lovelies!

Firstly, I'd like to apolagize for not posting for a while, but I simply couldn't. Unfortunatelly I've been to hopital, and no, you're not allowed to have a laptop or something like that there. I was kept away from tweeting and blogging. No matter how much that annoyed me at time, now I see it wasn't that bad anyway. I charged my fashion batteries and I'm ready to go through fashion weeks!

Don't even ask how I felt when I realized I was about to miss New York and London Fashion Week. However, God bless British Vogue that publishes photos from fashion shows, so I can catch up with what I've missed! If you missed something too, here place where yo can see it all: http://www.vogue.co.uk/fashion/spring-summer-2015/ready-to-wear

So, let's get ready, there's a lot of collections, colours, cuts, shows, stunning moments behind (that I unfortunatelly missed) and even more in front of us!
Board up, here fashion journey begins!

Here is fashion week detailed schedule:
  • New York Fashion Week (NYFW): September 4 - 11, 2014
  • London Fashion Week (LFW): September 12 - 16, 2014
  • Milan Fashion Week (MFW): September 17 - 23, 2014

Vacation inspired fashion review

So I'm back from my vacation, a.k.a. back to civilisation.
I spent 10 days on a wild island where I actually saw more lizards than human beings. I came back tanned, full of scratches (that luckly cannot be seen because of th ten so I can still wear shorts) and relaxed.
The wild island that I've visited is settled in Mediterrian sea, on Croatian coast and it's called Lastovo. And when I say it's little, I mean tiny tiny, 800 people living there tiny. Here are some pics!

Island of Lastovo, Croatia

Fashion vacation

If you're wondering what I wore, it's pretty much simple. Shorts, dresses, tops, bikinis, sunnies and a hat: vacation must-haves. Nevertheless, that wonderful island really inspired me when it comes to fashion and creativity. Get ready, here it goes!

Mediterrian "dolce vita"

Mediterrian plus fashion means one thing: Dolce&Gabbana. No really, the whole scenery looked like their campaigns and I realized where Stephano and Domenico get so much inspiration. Although it's on Croatian coast, the influence of Italian "dolce vita" and "dolce far' niente" ("sweet doing nothing") is present there big time!

Wildlife

A pretty much stupid thing I did was bringing heels over there. The island is literally wild! Full of sharp rocks and wild shrubs. The only thing I'll say is RIP my sandals. I'm not sure if there are suitable shoes designed for that terrain.

Michael Kors, Akris, Hermes

Trust me when I say, ain't no Givenchys or Saint Laurens are made for that terrain!

However, Sophia Webster may pass and survive the island

Summer colours

If you say summer, I say blue, red and white!

Fendi

Sailor chic

"Ahoy captain" is what summer is all about! Reay to fall in love with blue-white stripes and anchor print? Hope you are!

Acne

It's rainy day on summer vacation, ain't no hallelujah!

As much as I dislike rain when I'm supposed to be getting tanned and enjoying the sun, a proper outfit for cooler day has to be somewhere in your suitcase!

Michael Kors, Celine, Burberry Prorsum, Antipodium

Hope you enjoyed my vacation inspired fashion review, new post comming soon!

The very best of summer 2014 fashion

So it's been quite a while since summer came knocking on our doors, however it's far from being over.
That's why I decides to sum some of the best this summer's trends. Hope you'll enjoy them!

Sheers

This summer we've had a lot of sheer shirts and skirt going through the runway.. They are perfect for these hot summer days, and underwear while wearing them should not worry you. Here are my advices for bras while wearing a sheer shirt:
  • Go with a neutral colour, as close to your skin colour as possible
  • If you own a beautifully decorated bralette, don't hide it, wear it under a sheer shirt, that's my fav option!
  • If you are bold enough you can go with no bra as we can see it on runways

Burberry Prorsum

Monochromatic and one print head to toe

No matter I've heard people saying it looks like pajamas, I really like it! Seeing same colored stripes on dress, bag and shoes looks amazing to me!

Ralph Lauren, Diane von Furstenberg, Emilia Wickstead

Creases

Creased dresses and skirts are't quite something we haven't seen last few seasons, but this summer the cuts have made them very original and inovative!

Celine, Proenza Shouler, Rochas

New dimension of florals

Just when I thought I'll pull my lashes one by one if I see another floral print, some designers made me think again showing the florals is a complete new light!

Mary Katrantzou

Dolce &Gabbana

Christopher Kane

Global traveller look

Ethinc look with fringes and native prints are the way how to pull off this amazing look that has conquered the runways and streets all across the world.

Valentino

Sporty Sporty

What about moving fashion trends from tennis courts and other sport's fields to runways, streets and your own warderobe? I say YES!

Marni, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Tommy Hilfiger

Black and white

Classy play of black and white combinations is back big way this summer! All kinds of prints are more than welcomed!

Rodarte, Ralph Lauren, Bottega Veneta

Exposed skin

This one is personally my favourite one. Bralette with high waisted pencil skirt or shorts are my absolute must-have of the summer!

Michael Kors, Diane von Furstenberg, Dolce &Gabbana

This is it for now, hope you enjoyed it!

The very beginning

Salut to everybody!

Welcome to Jardin du chic, where we'll be picking the very best of fashion.

My name is Hanne, and as you can see, I'm a real fashion enthusiast.
I'm in general keen on art, so since fashion to me means a form of it, no wonder I like it so much.

The thing you have to know about me and my blog is that I don't run after big names, but after big masterpieces of fashion, no matter if it's Versace or some anonymus designer.

In world of fashion I appreciate good cuts, originality, simple, but yet interesting stuff.
I myself have some role-models which are Coco Chanel, Twiggy, Karlie Kloss, Christian Dior...

I hope we'll have some great time together commenting runway shows, collections and trends!

'Till next time,
   Bisou bisou!
